Happy Friday! Sorry for the lack of posts around here. I’ve been soaking in life with our sweet Peyton and can’t believe that she is already 10 weeks old! Time really does fly. I go back to work in a little over a week so trying to fit in all the snuggles I can. It’s tax free weekend here in Texas (online too, thank goodness!) so I’m hoping to find some good shopping deals over the weekend. I can already tell I’m going to be in trouble with all the adorable little girl clothing that is out there and now that Peyton fits into more. Hope y’all have a great and relaxing weekend! Stay cool as it looks like it is going to be a doozy here with the heat. Now, let’s get to this week’s Friday Favorites.
The moment I found out we were having a baby girl, I couldn’t wait to start designing her nursery. Our spare bedroom was the room that we would transform into her nursery and after we cleared all the junk out of the room, I forgot how big the space actually was! I knew that I didn’t want to do a theme with her room but that I just wanted to make it pretty and feminine. Derek and I talked about doing an accent wall and debated between a wallpaper wall and a shiplap wall and ultimately, we decided on shiplap. Derek did the shiplap, painted the room and did the crown molding for her room. Having a handy hubby is a HUGE perk! The shiplap turned out so amazing and I love how it brightened up the space.
The Nordstrom Anniversary early access is here and it is the most wonderful time of the year! Nordstrom is one of my go-to retailers to shop at and this sale is just SO good. You can score items for the fall at super discounted prices while the sale is going on and once it’s over, they go back up to their original price. While it is difficult for me to shop for sweaters and booties in July, especially in this Houston heat and humidity, I love a good bargain and can’t ever pass up shopping this sale. I know you have probably heard about this sale a million times already, but I will keep it real on Champagneista and won’t bog you down with too many posts.
