I got the crafting bug this weekend and decided to make a little project for our home. This wreath was easy and and does not take long to make. The great thing about this is you can customize it to whatever your heart desires. I chose fall colors for the flowers, a chevron burlap bow and added an “M” to the wreath.
I started off by taking the “M” and spray painting it gold. Big surprise I know! The gold obsession is real! For reference, this is an 8″ letter.
I bought all of my supplies at Hobby Lobby. All of the flowers were 40% off and most of the other items were on sale also!
I started off by making the bow before actually working on the wreath. Lay ribbon or burlap on the table as shown below.
Then pinch the center of the material together to make a bow and secure with floral wire.
Once the center is secured, cut a small piece of ribbon or burlap to wrap around the center of the bow to cover the floral wire. Secure this material with glue.
You can cut the length of your bow once you know how long it will need to be on the wreath.
Now comes the fun part! Cut the stems of your flowers to a shorter length and start weaving them into the grapevine wreath. You won’t need to glue any of the flowers or feathers into the wreath because they can attach with their stems. Once you are happy with the placement of the flowers, you can attach your bow and letter. I used the grapevine wire to attach both items.
Ta- Dah..the final product! I am so pleased with how this wreath turned out. I can use it for all of fall and instead of it being a holiday specific wreath. Very easy to make and cost efficient if you get all the items on sale! 😉
Has anyone else made a wreath for fall? What did you include in yours?
