When Chairish reached out to me about participating in their blogger challenge I could not be more excited. Interior design is something I have always been interested in and I love adding and finding pieces for my home. The challenge is simple: declare your favorite accent chair and take a room from ‘white to bright’! So I started scouring Chairish’s website for my favorite chair and immediately fell in love with this Antique French Linen Bergere Armchair. I feel that a Bergere chair can add a sense of history and substance to any room. While I don’t personally own many vintage pieces, this is a chair I simply die over its clean lines and style. Since this chair is a neutral color, I wanted to add in pops of color through art and a rug. The colors in this Michelle Armas painting are bold, vibrant and cheerful. I love her abstract work yet colorful work. I played off the light blues in her painting by choosing this geometric rug.
Now that I had added some color to my room, I needed some additional pieces that wouldn’t be too distracting. If you know me, I am a sucker for anything gold. I immediately feel in love with this gold-mirrored console table. A gold and mirrored piece…what more could a girl ask for?! I also love the simplicity and clean lines of this Lucite cocktail table. Lucite is the ultimate neutral and can make a small space look so much larger. At first sight, it will look like items (such as these fab agate coasters) are floating in air! A living or dining room is never complete with out a bar cart in my opinion. You should always be prepared for cocktails! I love the wheels on this bar cart and the mixed metals of brass and metal.
