Shop My Favorites:
Can I get an amen for Friday?! This weekend is the Houston Rodeo BBQ Cook-Off and it is one of my favorite events of the year. BBQ, booze, country music and shenanigans…sign me up! If you haven’t been, it is a huge BBQ competition and teams set up tents, which you have to have a wristband to get into. Some of the bigger corporate tents are MASSIVE and have live bands and such. It is seriously so much fun and always a good excuse to bust out the cowboy boots. What are you guys up to this weekend? Now lets get to this weeks Friday Favorites!
Another day, another pair of cute shoes! Wedges are my go-to style because they are super comfortable yet still elongate your legs. These fringe booties are a great transitional piece to add to your shoe collection for spring. I love the tiny fringe details on these booties and the tasseled ankle straps. I am constantly drawn to tan colored shoes because you can wear them with just about any outfit and are great for year round wear but these wedge booties also come in pale blue and pink. Now the real question is, what color should I buy?
If you are looking for a clutch that will go with any outfit from day to night look no further. This half moon clutch is a unique shape and I love that it is different then any clutch I have ever seen. Plus, it kind of looks like a taco and I love me some tacos! Ha! Seriously though, this cutie is under $40 and would be the perfect addition to any outfit.
Gingham print and bell sleeves…. LOVE! The moment I saw this gingham bell sleeve top I knew I needed to include it in this weeks round up. Bell sleeves are all the rage for spring and this top has them without being too over the top. I also love the gathered detailing around the sleeves and on the body of the shirt to give it a little definition. You could easily dress this top up with statement earrings and white jeans or wear it casually with jean shorts and sandals.
Wedding season is upon us and this lace midi dress is perfect to wear to your next spring event. Brides to be it also comes in white and would be so cute for a wedding shower or rehearsal dinner. The longer lace detail is stunning and I love the contrast of the partially lined dress. I am picky when it comes to midi dresses since I am only 5’3 but this one is just too stunning to pass up.
Maxi dresses are one of my favorite styles because they require so little effort to look put together. I am completely smitten with this striped maxi dress. It is one of my favorite brands and I love the how flowy the material is. Flowy material is key for me because I don’t want the material sticking to me in the Houston heat. The watercolor print, the style, the defined waistline… I could go on and on about all the things I love about this dress. It’s also under $90 and you could pair with a jean jacket until it warms up enough to wear on its own.
