Well this travel guide is WAY overdue! Derek and I went to Asheville, North Carolina for a long weekend in November and had such a great time! I got swept up in the holiday’s after we got home from this trip but better late than never right? We were looking for a getaway that would get us fall weather but I didn’t want to go somewhere like Colorado. I had heard so many great things about the city of Asheville and after looking into it, we decided like it would be the perfect getaway. We took a direct flight into Greenville, South Carolina and drove about an hour to Asheville.
Until last year, I had never been on an international flight that had taken me overseas. I had been to places such as Mexico, Canada and St. Lucia but all of these are flights that are still around four hours or less. The thought of being on a plane for nine hours or more kind of terrified me. What the heck was I going to do for that long on a plane? I am a chronic over-packer and knew I there was NO way I would be able to pack for a week long international trip in just a carry-on. I did want to make sure I packed a carry-on with items that would keep me entertained and help me feel my best (or as best as you can with jet leg) to my destination. After two international trips under my belt now, I have complied a list of items that I think are great to have with you and available on the plane.
I had the pleasure of attending The Blog Societies Conference in Charleston for the second time and it was another amazing experience. It wouldn’t have been quite the same with out these lovely Houston blogger babes, Karen, Brittany and Alice that I roomed with. We had such a great time and so many laughs during our stay. I think we also managed to successfully eat our way through Charleston. #Noshame. Today, we are joining forces to share what we wore on the last day of the conference.
